Wounded Veterans Cast & Blast at Lake Oconee

The Georgia Chapter of SCI will partner with Glasslined Technologies, Inc. for the inaugural Wounded Veterans Cast & Blast event at the beautiful Lake Oconee. From September 18-20, veterans will gather for three days of outdoor activities and camaraderie.

Similar to our annual Wounded Veterans Fishing Weekend at Lake Lanier, wounded veterans and their families will be treated to meals, fishing, lodging, with some shotgun shooting added in for this event.

  • Day One - Veterans will shoot clays at Old Hudson Plantation, getting expert instruction from shooting coaches. The day will end with a cookout celebration at The Lodge on Lake Oconee.

  • Day Two - World-class fishing on Lake Oconee, with veterans paired with expert fishing guides for a morning of angling. That evening, veterans will be treated to a chartered sunset cruise, enjoying dinner and live music.

  • Day Three - Awards ceremony recognizing outstanding veterans for their service.

"Our Cast and Blast event is all about thanking these heroes for their sacrifice and service," said sponsor James Lakeman, CEO of Glasslined Technologies. "We're honored to host this special group and provide an opportunity to connect with nature."

With scenic Lake Oconee as the backdrop, the 2023 Cast & Blast will create lasting memories through outdoor recreation and fellowship. The Georgia Chapter of SCI is proud to serve those who have served our nation, and we are grateful for the support provided by Glasslined Technologies, Inc.
